Poster Pricing in 2005

From 2005, a section from the first edition of Marketing to Moviegoers:

“Rates for a trailer or television commercial campaign run from $25,000 (for independents) to $250,000 (for studio films). Key art – which is the signature graphic presentation for print ads – can cost $5,000-$200,000. Again, the wide range is mostly the gulf between the deep-pocket seven major studios – such as Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. – and the smaller independent distributors, which tend to spend at the low end of the scale.”
