Richard Hollis on generations

“It’s the opposite of my generation’s approach, which was to think in conventional terms about the process of production, and enjoy that aspect. And Savile cut his teeth in the competitive world of the music industry, where concept is all, and cost of production quite often not a crucial factor. And he often seems to work in a team with good back-up, where as our generation were mostly solo designers.”
