“It never crossed my mind that I wouldn’t be able to think of ideas. I assume anyone can. That makes it sound as though it’s easy, and it is sometimes, but not often. A poster I did for a Halloween party at the RCA was one of the easy ones. We couldn’t hold it on the right night, so it was called The Not Quite Halloween Party. You think up images to do with Halloween, and make them ‘not quite’ those images. I had a black cat I was fond of, and thought a cat would be more unusual than witches and broomsticks. The poster was black gloss on black matte, a black cat with a white tip on its tail.”
